The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) says that customers in parts of South West Trinidad, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply is due to a leak on the 36-inch diameter trunk pipeline located in La Romaine.

Emergency repair works currently underway and is expected to be completed by 12:00 midnight.


Areas affected include: South Oropouche, Otaheite, Dow Village, Rousillac, Fyzabad, Avocat, San Francique Timitial Junction, Pluck Road, De Gannes Village, Alta Garcia Trace, Syne Village, La Brea Trace, Lowkie, Mora Dam, Rock Road from Penal Junction to Debidial Junction, Katwaroo, Sunress Road, Murderer Hill, Charlo Village, SS Erin Road, Quarry Village, Siparia.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 48 hours for the pipe-borne water supply to normalize to some areas after the facility returns to operation.
