Parts of North West Trinidad, including St James and Westmoorings, which currently are experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply, can expect to see a resumption in service tonight.
An advisory issued by the Water and Sewerage Authority explains the service interruption is because of a ruptured 21-inch diameter pipeline, along the Western Main Road in St. James, in the vicinity of the St. James Barracks.
WASA says Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 8:00 pm today, Tuesday March 30th, 2021.
However, customers are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas, following the completion of these repair works.
Areas affected include St James, Cocorite, Powder Magazine, Westmoorings and Woodbrook.
For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420 or 800-4426.
