6 whole crabs cleaned
4 tbsp green seasoning
2 packs Maggi Crab Flavour D’ Pot
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 medium onion sliced
4 cloves garlic chopped
6 pimentos sliced
2 sprigs fresh Thyme
Hot pepper to taste
2 tbsp Maggi Curry Powder
1 pack Maggi Coconut Milk Powder dissolved in 1 c water
For Dumplings
1 c flour
½ c grated cassava
1 tsp Maggi Naturismo Seasoning
¼ c water
Method
- Combine all ingredients for dumplings in a bowl and knead well. Dough should be firm but still pliable. Set aside to rest
- Season crab with Maggi Crab Flavour and green seasoning
- In a large iron pot on low heat, add oil onion, garlic, pimento and thyme. Add hot pepper if using
- Add curry powder and cook for 10 minutes until fragrant
- Add seasoned crab and pour in coconut milk. Stir well to combine
- Cover and cook for 20 – 25 mins. Add water if needed for sauce
- Shape dumplings as desired and cook in boiling water for 5 mins. Drain and set aside
- Serve curried crab hot on top dumplings
